How do I know if a bartender or waitstaff has been assigned to my job?

Once we have found staffing for your event, we will send you a confirmation email with the bartender(s) or waitstaff who will be working your event CC’ed. 

Do you provide liquor liability insurance?

Yes, we carry a full liquor liability policy on all bartenders, waitstaff, and Harvard Student Agencies personnel. If you'd like a Certificate of Insurance for your event, please email a request for this certificate to barcourse@hsa.net. Unfortunately, we cannot list additional insureds on our policy.

Can you provide the alcoholic beverages for my event?

Unfortunately, we cannot. Harvard Bartending does not provide any alcohol, glassware, soft drinks, or other ingredients. We only provide waitstaff and bartenders for events.

Can I extend the hours of my event?

Yes. You may extend the hours of your event prior to the event date by emailing barcourse@hsa.net. If you'd like to extend the hours during your event, you may simply ask your bartender to stay. You will be charged for this additional time, and your bartender is not required to agree to hours extended on the day of the event. 

How will I be billed for my event?

All billing for bartending and waitstaff services is done upfront. Upon entering your order on our website, you will be charged in full. In the case that we cannot staff your event, you will receive a full refund.

Is there a minimum order for bartending or waitstaff services?
Yes, there is a 2 hour minimum for all services. 
Are my bartenders or waitstaff responsible for set-up and clean-up?
You bartenders or waitstaff can assist with set-up and clean-up if, and only if, you allot time for this. For instance, if you would like your bartender to set-up a full bar before the event, and to clean-up after the event, you must request that the bartender arrive before the event and stay until after the event. This likely means purchasing an additional hour of services. 
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before an event are eligible for a full refund, with no cancellation fees. Cancellations made within 48 hours of an event are not eligible for refunds. 
Do you offer discounts for non-profit organizations?
501(c)3 non-profit organizations are eligible to receive up to 20% off bartending or waitstaff services. Please email barcourse@hsa.net to redeem this offer.
What happens if Harvard Bartending cannot find staffing for my event?
On rare occasions, Harvard Bartending may be unable to accommodate orders placed close to the event date, and orders placed during holiday seasons. If Harvard Bartending cannot find staffing for your event, you will be notified at least 72 hours prior to the event, and will receive a full refund. 
How do I know if I need to pay any additional travel fees?
If your event is more than 5 miles from our office, you will be charged a $50 travel fee. If your event is more than 10 miles from our office, you will be charged a $100 travel fee. You can check how far your event is by entering our address, 67 Mount Auburn Street Cambridge, MA 02138, in Google Maps, Waze, or Apple Maps, as well as the address of your event.
