TIPS (Training in Intervention Procedures by Servers of alcohol) is a nationwide certification program that teaches the responsible serving of alcohol. Issues addressed include: checking IDs, the physiological and psychological effects of consuming alcohol, and the best ways to keep guests under control. The TIPS portion of the course uses an interactive case method, where various scenarios are evaluated to give you an accurate portrayal of the proper methods for handling situations where alcohol becomes dangerous. At the end of this session, you'll take the TIPS certification exam and receive your certification card in the mail.

Through this course you will use real-life bartending scenarios to practice advanced event management. The course is comprised of scenarios designed to simulate actual events and conditions frequently encountered behind the bar. Graduates of this course will be prepared for even the most demanding bartending engagements.
